The Research and Development (R&D) Cell of Swa. Gulab Bai Yadav Smriti Shiksha Mahavidyalaya is established to enhance the quality of education and promote research among faculty members and students. The College has constituted a dedicated Research Committee to nurture a strong research culture by encouraging studies in emerging and challenging areas of Education. It also works to create awareness about research opportunities and to support R&D initiatives among both faculty and students.
The R&D Cell fosters a conducive environment for academic and scientific growth and closely monitors all research activities within the institution. It strives to fulfill the Vision and Mission of the college by cultivating scientific temperament and prioritizing research publications, citations, and patent acquisition. The Cell undertakes several initiatives, including motivating faculty to submit research proposals to government bodies and funding agencies, organizing innovation-based skill development programs for students, and promoting interdisciplinary research activities.
Objectives of the R&D Cell
- To promote quality research and innovation in accordance with UGC’s mandate for enhancing academic standards in higher education.
- To encourage faculty members and students to undertake research projects supported by UGC, ICSSR and other national funding agencies.
- To strengthen research infrastructure and create an enabling ecosystem for fostering academic excellence.
- To ensure adherence to research ethics and academic integrity, including plagiarism prevention as per UGC regulations.
- To facilitate publication of research work in UGC-CARE listed journals and other reputed, peer-reviewed publications.
- To promote interdisciplinary and collaborative research in line with UGC’s emphasis on multi- and trans-disciplinary approaches.
- To organize capacity-building programs such as workshops, seminars, FDPs, and training sessions on research methodology, academic writing, and use of research tools.
- To encourage the filing of patents, copyrights, and other IPRs to promote innovations.
- To guide faculty and students in preparing and submitting research proposals for UGC-funded minor and major research projects.
- To monitor and review research activities ensuring transparency, quality, and compliance with UGC norms.
- To promote a culture of continuous academic growth by aligning research activities with the Vision and Mission of the institution and UGC’s national education objectives.
